Since 1999, Project Canterbury has been a volunteer effort providing out-of-print Anglican documents free of charge through the internet. Maintenance and extension of the site involves significant expenses, however, including the following:

travel to libraries with material to transcribe
photocopies of material
postage on documents sent to transcribers
purchase and upgrade of scanning and web-formatting software
